The Reef Plan Expanding LAARS area Contact us

At this time, the reef we will use is the Florida Special made and deployed by  David Walters

a local reef builder.

These reefs are over 10 feet tall with 12 foot triangular base. Heavy steel (3/4 to 1 inch) panels fitted to the sides with holes and 800 square feet of surface area and a weight of over 5,000 lbs., tetrahedron concrete frame is one of the strongest structures known and is tested to withstand a 50 year storm. Designed with a large footprint to prevent sinking or subsiding, its expected to last 50 to 2000 years (depending on which engineer you ask). This structure will produce approximately 500 lbs. of Pensacola Red Snapper per year.

The Bank of Pensacola is where the account is set up and both Paul Redman President of the Pensacola Charter Boat Association and Chris Couture a representative for the recreational fisherman have to sign to withdraw any money from the account.

How do I donate:

Simply walk-in or drive up to any Bank of Pensacola and simply say I would to make a donation in to the REBUILD UNDERWATER NW FLORIDA account for any denomination.

Other Donations: We also would like any structural materials, clean steel 1/8' or larger, weighing in excess of 150lbs, and or concrete structures: example culvert pipe. Also any barges or steel boats would make a great habitat for reef fish.

Example: All fishing forums on the internet will be talking about your reefs and your business name will be mentioned numerous times on a daily basis.

Thank you for stopping by, now go deploy a reef!
